About Michelle.
I’m Michelle McCarty. I hold a Master’s Degree in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University. I’m a registered psychotherapist (qualifying) and clinical counsellor with experience helping individuals navigate life’s challenges. My approach is warm, empathetic, and tailored to meet your unique needs. I specialize in working with anxiety, depression, perfectionism, ADHD, autism, OCD, life transitions, and grief.
This passion for helping others was inspired during my journey of raising my children and caring for other children in my community. These experiences showed me the joy and purpose in nurturing, uplifting, and encouraging others. I am deeply dedicated to guiding individuals toward greater self-understanding, helping them uncover the roots of their distress, and supporting them as they create a clearer, more meaningful path forward.

A walk through
the ferns.
Ferns are found on every continent, a testament to their adaptability and resilience. These qualities—adaptability and resilience—are also deeply valued in human life. The fern’s ability to thrive in diverse environments mirrors the journey of personal growth, reminding us that we too can flourish even in challenging or unfamiliar conditions.
In many cultures, ferns symbolize healing, hope for the future, and new beginnings. Just as the fern regenerates and thrives in places where other plants may struggle, we are reminded that growth often emerges from adversity. This enduring symbolism encourages us to embrace change, persevere, and find strength in life’s transitions.
Take a metaphorical walk among the ferns and explore emotions and intuition while developing a profound connection to yourself. I will walk alongside you as you embark on this journey, guiding you toward deeper self-awareness and renewal.
“Michelle creates a warm welcoming atmosphere that allows clients to feel comfortable and at ease. She is collaborative, supportive and empowering in her approach. She uses a variety of techniques to work with her clients to achieve their goals.“
